Pjanic Glad To Help Defeat Juventus Tottenham
New Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic said he was happy with his team's performance shown in the win against Tottenham Hotspur in a preseason game.
In the pre-season tournament International Champions Cup 2016, the Bianconeri won 2-1. Two of the winning goal was scored by Paulo Dybala and Mehdi Benatia, while Spurs scored a goal Erik Lamela.
Pjanic himself made an assist in the game, which is now able to provide feedback that pretty well settled by a late header from Benatia.
"We played well today. Obviously there are some areas that should be improved, but we showed great intensity and followed the coach's instructions," he said.
"There are no injured players, and it's very important, and we are happy that we won. We want to end the tour with the best in Hong Kong. We are now shifting our focus to training for the fight (against South China), after which we will returned to Italy and joined the rest of the squad, "he continued.
"Then we only have three weeks until the start of the new season so it will be an important opportunity to meet with more new teammates. I look forward to working with them all," he added.
"I am very happy to play here this year. I've seen the schedules and competition will be very good to start the season in front of the fans at home against the top teams like Fiorentina," he said
